Modern technology does not make a system modern.

O produto já utilizava React. Ainda assim, componentes de classe, responsabilidades concentradas e uma interface difícil de evoluir mostravam que adotar uma tecnologia atual não encerra o trabalho de modernização.

A transformação aconteceu progressivamente: compreender o comportamento existente, reorganizar componentes, adotar Hooks onde faziam sentido e preservar o que ainda cumpria bem sua função.

Primeiro vem a intent. Depois, limites, alternativas, custo e risco. Tecnicamente possível não significa necessariamente viável, responsável ou desejável. Às vezes a recomendação final continua sendo não.

Transformation does not mean destroying what already exists.

Uma operação ativa, distribuída entre América do Sul e Europa, reunia usuários, dependências e tecnologias de gerações diferentes. Não existia a liberdade de interromper tudo e começar novamente.

Modernizar significava compreender flows críticos, criar pontes e substituir partes progressivamente enquanto o trabalho continuava acontecendo.
